Whether it’s being inspired by Bob Marley or the lovely fruit that you grow, you too can make your own home made jam. Here is a lovely picture supplied by one of our allotmenteers who recently made their own jam with fruit grown at their lovely allotment!

Help for the bees

bee pollinators

Here at Douglas Allotments we are helping in a small way, Biodiversity, the bees and other pollinators. We have left an area turn into a wild meadow, so wild flowers can grow and the bees will have more food. We need more of these actions, so try and make some space in your own garden for more flowers and encourage the councils to do same. You can make a difference. We will all benefit. All the best Douglas Allotments
